Principal Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include conducting thorough due diligence and executing transactions in private equities as part of our core investment strategy.
  • Participate in investment underwriting and evaluation, reviewing financials, projections, capital structures, and deal documents.
  • Support deal closing activities alongside senior team members including reviewing and drafting transaction documents alongside legal counsel, updating capitalization tables, and coordinating closing mechanics.
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to existing portfolio companies on strategic, financial, operational, and other issues.
  • Work closely with the family office and other professionals to evaluate new investments and guide portfolio company success.
  • 2-4 years of relevant investment experience at a private equity or venture capital firm, investment bank, law firm (corporate), or similar role.
  • Strong financial modeling, evaluation, due diligence, and investment analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Comfortable interacting with executives, entrepreneurs, lawyers, bankers and other professionals.
  • High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Motivated self-starter with intellectual curiosity to immerse quickly in new topics and sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, Juris Doctorate, Master's, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Previous entrepreneurial experience or interest in private equity and venture capital are valued highly.
  • Based in our New York office with a hybrid work policy.
Salary Range: $100 - 140k base plus bonus

Dutchess Management is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an intern. The intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain valuable experience in the financial services industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team. A background in finance or a related field is preferred, but not required.
The intern will assist in conducting research, analyzing financial data, and helping to develop financial strategies for the firm's clients. They will also have the opportunity to learn about various financial products and services, and gain exposure to the daily operations of the firm.
This is a full-time, paid internship and will last for a period of three to six months. The intern will work closely with members of the firm's financial team and will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals.
